Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Kevin Martinez (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the samepage? mobile application. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data. By using samepage? or completing a survey on our website you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information: email address, username, and optional profile photo.
• Content: your answers to questions, comments you leave, and answers you like.
• Ask Me Anything (AMA): custom questions you compose and send to friends, and your answers to AMA questions you receive.
• Compatibility Survey: surveys you create (questions selected and your answers), survey responses you submit, and resulting compatibility scores between you and another participant.
• Device information: device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage data: features you use, questions you view, and answers you submit. This data is collected anonymously via PostHog and does not include personally identifiable information.
• Push notification tokens via Expo to deliver notifications to your device.

If you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those services. We do not store your Google or Apple password.

When you share a Compatibility Survey via SMS or messaging, you enter the recipient’s phone number on your device. We do not collect, store, or have access to phone numbers used for sharing.

Friend Compatibility Surveys require the recipient to create an account before answering. If they never create an account, we do not collect their answers for that friend survey. Friend survey sessions expire seven days after creation if not completed.

Some survey links can be completed in a web browser without installing the App or creating an account (for example, a shared “How well do you know…?” survey). Submitting that page stores your selected answers, a random browser session token, and the resulting match score. We use this to calculate compatibility and, if you later install the App, to link your response to your new account. If you never create an account, the response stays associated with the survey (not a user profile) until we delete it after a valid request or the survey is removed. Guest web-survey responses do not expire after seven days. We do not store your IP address with the survey-response record. If web analytics are enabled, PostHog may receive limited events (share code, match score, question count, and a shared web identifier) and may process the IP address of that request; your answer choices are not sent to PostHog.

To request deletion of a guest submission, email samepagesocialapp@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy Request,” the survey share code, and any session details you still have.

After a guest survey, tapping download may copy a survey code and session token to your clipboard. After you install and sign in, the App reads the clipboard once to detect that handoff payload, links the survey if it matches, and then clears the clipboard. We do not log other clipboard contents.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the samepage? service
• Deliver Compatibility Surveys and AMA questions between participants
• Send push notifications about friend activity and account events
• Process in-app purchases of Ink tokens
• Improve the app through anonymized analytics
• Prevent fraud and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We do NOT use your data for targeted advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate samepage?:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• PostHog — anonymized analytics
• RevenueCat — purchase processing
• Expo — push notification delivery
• Apple and Google — app store operations

All third parties are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

Compatibility Survey scores and per-question results are visible only to the two participants in that survey—not to other friends, explore feeds, or public areas of the app. AMA exchanges are one-to-one between the creator and each recipient.

5. In-App Purchases

Ink token purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). We do not store your payment card information. All purchases are final unless required by applicable law. Contact samepagesocialapp@gmail.com for purchase disputes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Friend Compatibility Survey sessions expire seven days after creation if not completed. Completed friend-survey and AMA data is deleted when you delete your account. Guest web-survey responses are retained with the survey until deleted upon a valid privacy request or until the survey is removed; deleting a later account unlinks a claimed guest response but does not automatically erase the underlying answers unless you also request that deletion.

7. Your Rights (GDPR and CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of analytics tracking

To exercise these rights email us at samepagesocialapp@gmail.com or use the Delete Account option in your profile settings. Guests without an account may request deletion of a submitted web survey by emailing the same address with the survey share code and any session details they still have.

8. Children's Privacy

samepage? is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data contact samepagesocialapp@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

9. Push Notifications

We send push notifications for friend activity, question reminders, and account events. You can disable these at any time in your device Settings app or in the Notifications section of your samepage? profile settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of Same Page after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
